Would anybody here think that a hollow-resin casting of just the saber tooth's body be reasonable to do? With all the extra legs, an extra cat body would do the trick...... Yes? ....... No?
You can make a "Pride" as suggested by a member here using all the extra left over legs or you could do 2 cats with one on the base standing and snarling while the other is sitting atop of the Rhino without purchasing a whole other kit.
What's yer thoughts?

Not sure that one would be worth it (commercially, I mean) - since the sabertooth bodies are really common and pretty cheaply available at ebay. It's not that difficult to pick one up for $20-$30.

Well I haven't checked on price to make these but I'm sure they'll go for pretty much the same as the ebay prices around $30. It was just something to throw out there and see what we reeled in. Wanted to see if there was interest in it before making the leap.

Did you ever look into this more? Like how much it would cost for molds or castings?
Might sound like it doesn't make sense. But I'm almost willing to bet it would be cheaper to cast it as a solid 1-piece body. Yeah, there would be more resin cost, but it could be done with one mold, and the cast would probably be quicker and easier.

Nope! But it can be a topic of discussion the next time I talk to "the caster"!
