This kit is really what got me back into modeling a year or so ago, although I held off the temptation to reacquire the Prehistoric Scenes kits until a month or so ago. I still haven't built him - I have no experience with Resin, so it's been a hobby of mine to learn about it, but I was really impressed with his Harryhausen/Charles Knight dinosaurs and bought a few of them. Here's a good video of Gwangi and his Styracosaurus enemy: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIhV3Ghinwk&feature=relatedI liked them enough I ended up writing a magazine column about them for PC Gamer magazine (bit of a stretch to fit modeling in there, but I got away with it). Some of Joe's stuff is available at Alchemy Works, but the Gwangi/Styracosaurs are at his site for sale directly. Not cheap, but I really like the detail how closely they resemble the movie versions.

All of Joe's sculpts/kits are "Over the Top" excellent! A few of the subjects he has done have not been my favorite, like the Monster of Blanca Piedras (sp?), but I do enjoy looking at the fine detail he puts into every sculpt. Eye candy fer sure! I swear that one day, I'll get him to do a 1/12 scale version of his 1 million year BC Bronto. It's a perfect fit and I personally think that what be the Ultimate Add-On!!!! ;D www.resinfromthegrave.tv/images/ad_12million.jpg

How did I miss this thread the when it started? I love Joe's work. Especially his Gwangi. It's on my "want to own someday" list.

I have 4 of his dinos now -- the Gwangi and matching Styracosaur, and his Charles Knight Tyrannosaur with a Triceratops to fight. Really love them - I'll buy all his dinos.
