Not all Prehistoric models are plastic, resin or vinyl. Many of the overlooked subjects (which were quite well cast incidentally) were metal. Made for the world of RPGs, a slew of ice age beasts as well as dinos were cast. Yes, the scale may be daunting, but at least a young modeler can hide them far more easily than something in 1/13th scale. The toughest thing about this pair of cave-people is filing out the seam that runs the length of the casting! Not the best image, but more will follow as I paint in more detail. BTW: the funny plastic thing is a large paper clip to which the metal figurines are glued. Attachments:

Recently (2013) I went back with some Jeweler's files and smoothed out the seams as best I could and repainted the figure(s). The caveman started out standard deep flesh and got a stain of thinned-out rust via airbrush. His girlfriend was spared this wash for the moment, but she'll get one later. I start light and darken.
