Oh yeah! SCORE! www.ebay.com/itm/160930069766Not only is that an awesome price for a mammoth. $50 for an almost complete (just missing one ear) kit + box + instructions. But, I am pretty sure it is also Canadian. I've never seen those instructions before. I've seen the pink version in an auction before, but not one like that, that uses the promo picture. Though, I suspect that all the 72 series kits have both pink/blue and the type with the promo pic. I have both for the 3 Horned. I didn't ask for pics of the box flap, so I won't know for sure about that until I get the kit.

Did anyone here score the complete set, just a few small bits missing, that was buy it now on UK Ebay a few weeks ago? I thought it may have turned up here. I nearly bought it myself (£175), but have no room! G

No, I didn't see it. Did it have a lot of packaging with the kits?

No boxes or instructions. Only a name plate and a few leaves missing. All built up, but not glued, and well painted. One click of the mouse and a full set for someone. Oh the Rex had the back drop. G

Glad to see you got the Mammoth Trevor - I was watching that one even though don't have the cash. Like to see what PS wind up going for. Hope the box turns out to be nice! Steve

Box is ok, not great, but not horrible. But more importantly (for me) is that it is a Canadian box. And I think it is actually in better shape than the domestic box that I have.
Just wish he would have accepted my offer on his flying reptile and sabertooth. He had them listed for $200 and $120 (which kind of makes me wonder why the mammoth was only started at $50 since it is the only one of those 3 with real value) I offered him $90 for both of them. But he declined. I see he has them listed again. This time for $87 and $97

CRAP! Just missed out on an original T-rex. Sold for $49 with a 14 or 15 dollar shipping fee. Matt Manit and I are on the hunt for a T-rex to complete our Red T -rexes. This would have been perfect because it had all the right parts needed and it was a great price too. I had it saved on "my ebay" page and totally forgot about it until today when I checked. CRAP!!!!

There have been a couple built ones in that price range on ebay recently. Sadly, my funds have been tied up buying other things. Like xmas gifts, and rarer items for my collection. Some day I will have an original rex again (for the 4th time)

Why does it seem like all the good stuff shows up all at the same time? [pout] Was going to take a shot at the 2 partial built-up rexes tonight. But then Someone went and listed a bunch of sealed Monogram reissues. Made him an offer on the 4 that I needed, and he accepted. A little higher than I would have liked to pay. But not really a bad price. And about 1/3 less than what he was asking for them.
After shipping, it works out to about $30 per kit. I've gotten reissues a whole lot cheaper than that. But these Monogram ones just don't seem to turn up as often as they used to. And none for less than $30 once shipping is factored in. Plus, they look like they are in really sharp condition too.

Me neither, but I missed out on a bunch of misc. parts......I just needed the dang running rabbit! By the way Trevor, was wondering if a "donation" of extra parts would help towards your website for your parts sale.

Thanks for the offer, but no. I actually have nothing listed parts-wise anymore. I just don't have the time to deal with small stuff like that these days. With my current work load, and number of projects I've got going around the house, it's just more hassle than it is worth. And it isn't like the old days when I had the money to buy parts lots and had a ton of stuff sitting around. I've just got a little pile, and I have plans for pretty much most of it, if I ever get to those projects.

Can't believe that someone paid $275 for a partially built rex. Sure, it had the backdrop and instructions. And part of the box lid. But still

Been watching that one too but there was no way. Kudos to both buyer and seller.

Thanks but this is for an original Aurora "red" T-rex. A few odd parts here and there. I have the Atlantis "orange" and Monogram "green" versions. Just wanted to complete the kit with original parts.

I bought it. It is the only Aurora original kit I do not have, or ever owned when I was a kid. the price was a bit high for the condition, but I had some extra cash from some paintings I sold, so I went for it. For the next one I can be a bit more prudent.

I can understand that logic. Still think there have been better deals recently than that. But if you have the cash, and really want the kit, can't fault someone for jumping on one when it's available.
I keep forgetting what the backdrop and instructions are worth, as I don't really factor them in. One of the blind spots when you already own one.
