As you can see the Steg is mostly filler now! Its lost half a leg, part of its tail and several plates over the years.

Good to see that you kept all these fellas and the memories that they hold. My stego is missing a back fin/plate so I picked up a Lindberg one for 99p for missing part. This leaves me with a kit I did not want, but seeing your Polacanthus has given me another job to do! Thank you for the inspiration. The Alchemy Stego is calling for some more paint, he is nearly done, so must go. G

A Lindberg JP Velociraptor arrived this morning from and ebay auction. Its not one of the early kits and I have a standard Lindberg recent issue of the same kit. I just needed it to complete the set. What actually interested me is the poster that came with it. Its entitled when the world was young. The illustrations on it partly look like they have been based on the 'The world of' series. Not only the plants, but the smaller animals and the cavemen that came with those kits. Some of the cavemen are very similar to the ones that came with the old kit line too. The poster also features sketches of the original triceratops and the stegosaurus, but the new version of the rex. I'll scan it and post them later.

Just got this from e bay, I was so surprised as it was discontued after the JP lindberg rex came out years ago. I have one in the pyro long box,and in two others in various packaging so I was really pleased to get this in the current packaging. I've seen it on American hobby sites in this form but this is the first one I've seen in the UK. The old lindberg site doesn't list it, but it looks like its not been upgrded for years. I think Round2 now own the moulds and Lindberg name but any info is hard to find. I see that it has the caveman back in. I shall check for the base when it arrives. I know this kit is a terrible sculpt but the nostalgia has it for me! Its ays on teh blurb that the mould has been cleaned up? Not exactly much detail to sharpen!

They probably cleaned up the edges of the cavities so there isn't as much flash.

Does anyone have any Pyro/Lindbergs they are particularly proud of to put in the Pyro Gallery on the 'Prehistorix' website? If so drop me a line her, on the messages or at the site itself.
