I agree with the others. The base looks great. Just enough variation to keep it interesting without overshadowing the star attraction. And the paint looks great. All around awesome piece.

Thanks Steve and Trevor! I'm working on sculpting the base for the new Nean Woman. This will have more rocks with some grass and dirt. Pretty much the same techniques as the Elk but with a fire pit and lotsa rocks.

Is the Heanderthal woman going to be a kit?

The Neanderthal Woman is planned for a kit, yes. Been working on the base and near completion too. Just waiting on the NW herself.

We are thinking of kitting this so I added a poll in the header to get a feel for your thoughts. Please vote! There are only 2 choices.

I'd buy it with the base.

Hi All, I voted "No" but wanted to give the reasons why. First, honesty. I won't buy this kit only because of my lack of interest in the subject: a mammal that isn't exceptionally exotic but rather mundane IMO. Second, I'm a stickler for PS style pastiches and I don't see the PS style of model in this piece. With this all said I want to strongly state that I love and appreciate all that PreScenes2 has done and is still doing for our hobby. Keep it up! But I'm afraid I have to pass on this one.

I respect and appreciate your honesty and for sharing your thoughts. We all realize we can not always please everyone but try to find a common denominator that most will agree to. So far, from what the poll shows and from past comments or non comments, this'll be a tough decision.

Basically the same reason I voted no as well. Nice kit, but doesn't feel too PS-y to me. And with the amount of stuff I still need to buy, I'd rather allocate funds for something a bit more fun. Basically the same reason I never got the buffalo head from Atlantis.

I can see everyone reservations about this. It would make a great stand alone kit if you were in to prehistoric megafauna. To me though its not bizarre enough of a beast to be a prehistoric scene. I live on the borders of a stately home and there's a deer park a few hundred yards away and I see big red deer most days. I eat a lot of venison too as its cheap in the local butchers. I suppose if I ate spiked dinosaur every day and saw it at the end of my back garden I'd feel the same about it.

Still stuck at 9 and not enough to warrant a release. The complexities of this piece also makes it difficult to cast and stay reasonable in cost. So, This will not be kitted!
