New member here. Just won 3 partially built models on ebay. Probably bid against a few members of this board. Should be getting the CroMagnon man, Mammoth, & Saber tooth tiger in a week or so. Once upon a time, had 6, but those disappeared long ago. One's I remember definitely having from the old days: - Cave - Saber tooth Tiger - Neanderthal (I think had to replace it once) - Cromagnon Man & Woman - Pterodactyl (sp)

All...
Nothing sealed, relatively No origninal boxes, and a lot of e-Bay bids for pieces to complete a lot of kits. Makes me wish NOW I was was more careful with the original kits I bought as a kid in the '70's, or knocked my kid brother around for playing around and busting up the collection I had then.......
But who knew...................

New member here. Just won 3 partially built models on ebay. Probably bid against a few members of this board. Welcome. I kind of envy you. I remember the rush when I first got back into collecting these. The excitement I had when I got my first few packages with partial kits. While I still enjoy collecting these, and have the thrill of the hunt, while I look for reasonable deals. I don't really have that excitement and rush anymore.

Just a small update. I had to do some cleaning and rearranging today. So while I was at it, I did a quick inventory.
I currently have 70 complete styrene PS kits in the house.

I just started collecting and building these kits maybe a month/month and a half ago but have gathered quite a few. From the Dawn of Time reissues I have the Styracosaurus, Triceratops, Allosaurus, Dimetrodon and the Mammoth. I also have the Atlantis Tyrannosaurus which I just built about a week or two ago. I don't have any of the original Aurora issues but I have a sealed Monogram 1979 Mammoth, opened unbuilt Monogram 1979 Triceratops, opened unbuilt Monogram 1987 Styracosaurus, sealed Revell 1994 Ankylosaurus and Pteranodon. I was born in 1976 so I wasn't able to enjoy the originals but did have some of the 1979 Monogram kits and had a couple of the 1994 Revell kits just after high school during my modeling heyday.

Thought about going to the Revell office in Elk Grove Village (about twenty minutes from my house) and persuading them to reissue the Tyrannosaurus (in green) in the old 79 Monogram packaging or the 1994 Blue Box Revell version. ;D
They would probably just laugh at me or think I was nuts.

Sounds like a pretty good start to your collection you have there.

Thanks guys. I'm having alot of fun looking for these kits but compared to other items I've collected (transformers, star wars toys,Japanese toys) they are a bit tougher to find. I was just at the Kane County Toy Show this past weekend and only saw a couple of the original kits and none of the reissues, and this is one of the largest toy shows in Illinois.
Sorry it took me so long to respond, my dad has been in and out of the hospital. He had throat cancer. It's been rough but he is getting better.

Hope he's doing even better now! What my next goal is to get MIB or non painted kits to display. I have always been intrigued by the color choices they've chose for each kit. The emerald green of the Allo and the metallic olive green of the Spike to the Deep Yellow of the Saber and the Copper of the Dimetrodon. Fantastic!

I just finished my original & built up collection. I have all the Aurora kits & boxes except for T-Rex. I also have tons of unbuilt PS "junk" kits to use for pieces and to create some conversions. I recently started building some of the add-ons. I've posted everything online at paintandglue.tumblr.com/
