Just wondered if the Dino Riders Dinos are considered Models? I have thought about repainting these a long time ago when I had them all. They are no more in my collection but scanning the internet for anything Dino, I stumbled across the Dino Riders. I believe the Dinos are suppose to be 1/24 scale and the humanoid crreatures were 1/32. Has anybody done anything with these?

I always thought of DINO RIDERS as a toy line. But your "Dino Riders" post made me have a memory flash of something I saw somewhere some time ago: a photo of a customized Pyro Stegosaurus with a camel-driver seated atop, festooned with all the details of straps, packs, etc. It was quite an imaginary piece!

Agreed...But isn't the PS considered as a TOY also? Most D-R's are made of styrene and and have that look about them that calls for a repaint or customizing job. I'm seriously thinking about getting the Bronto from that line and doing a little something to convert it over to the PS line. I have the Horizon Bronto in customization process and will finish with it eventually but the D-R Bronto is much bigger (not as big as Alchemy's) and has potential to be a great PS kitbash.

When thos dino riders came out in the 80's I had the same thought. Pretty damn good accurate dinos, with realistic eyes for a change. Already painted. Would have been acceptable replacements for the Lifelike crap I had at the time. And, so sorry, but these Aurora monogram Snap-Tites aren't very accurate either. I mean look at that outlandish TRex. Which I also got, painted, and gave away a few years later.

Well I luckily got a DinoRider Bronto from eBay. Now, I'm going to evalute it and see how I can convert to a PS style. (Sorry, I won't be offering this as a add-on when I'm done! ) He already has the moveable legs and neck. His head moves too and that's one of the things that I need to evalute. I want to change his head while keeping it moveable. My sons remember playing with these years ago and they want ME to get the rest?!..... HAHA...... THEY have to get the rest!!!
