Just curious as to what you guys and gals paint and do to your nameplates?
I do just the basic black background with a yellow brass raised edge and lettering. I also sliced some sheet styrene in 2 triangular shapes and glued to the back of the plate so it may stand up on a slight tilt.

Been thinking about reversing those same colors, but haven't tried it yet (brass plate - black border/ letters). Also thought (and haven't tried) a good brass metalizing paint and then a patina coat..... Trying to vsualize an old museum look........

I like the idea of the triangles to hold them upright - great idea! Steve

..... Trying to vsualize an old museum look........ I can say the same. One thing that I did was experimented on a nameplate. Sprayed the plate flat black amd then, when dry, drybrushed some brass color all over it making sure some gets on the black background. Later I highlighted the raised letters with brass. Now, I should've painted the letters black. Anyone done them in the models colors or in a vibrant neon?

I like the idea of the triangles to hold them upright - great idea! Steve Got tired of them just "lying around". What gave me the idea was the nameplates that the Tamiya Dinos came with.

I generally use the base color of the kit, so it all ties together.
