I've been bouncing around the idea of what I wanted to build this Spring. I've been pulling out all my PS kits and decided on building the extended cave. This uses One complete Cave, Two walls, three floor pieces and both sections of the roof from another cave set and the Cave Bear base with wall. I'll try to post as I go. Today I cleaned a lot of old glue and started gluing up the pieces, next comes the seams. I've had this kit since it came out and it's about time it get done.

Same here! I've had my cave kit since a kid and it's about time it got it's due! I've always wanted to reconstruct the CAVE first issue box art- with the drooly Allosaurus waiting hungrily outside the entrance!

I got a good start on cleaning and gluing the main sections together, I'll start a new tread on the building tips for any progress shots but how many of you start with one kit and end up working on other kits in the series or pulling a base that is affected by the one you are working on. Before Yesterday I was within a hour of finishing my Tar Pit, then I got a desire to work on the cave... so the cave in started and I seamed up and painted the base and tree for the Spiked Dino and finally after 40 years painted the Flying Reptiles base.. . I'm not even looking at the Swamp pieces or the giant bird but the collections getting there. Now I just have to stay focused.

Liking this... no way on multiple builds for me, I used to do it and always seemed to get frustrated with not getting anything finished. I've been good (but slow) at building one at a time, the unbuilts stay "hidden" in the closet so I won't get tempted! GV

I've got several going right now. Spiked, Mammoth, a re-do of my tiger base, and my ever-in-progress rex.

Any updates on the project Rob?
Can't wait until summer is over. I can't handle the cold very well any more but at least things will slow down enough to maybe get some more modeling in. Been wanting to get a PS display table or something like it set up in my hobby room. Too much activities going on right now with the warm weather!

See, I'd rather have cold any day. I just cannot function with the heat and humidity we have been having.
