Always nice to get one that you were needing to fill a hole. And sealed too! Steve

I'm obviously a mere beginner - I only have one mintish boxed Aurora original, one Aurora original assembled and then disassembled with no box or instructions, one Revell Germany 1993 reissue assembled and painted, and two assembled Revell mini-dino T-Rex's. I guess I need to be finding more...

Well, keep in mind, I am a bit extreme in my collecting. I intend to eventually have every version MISMB. Reissue and original. As well as built and painted, built in raw plastic, and built with replacement parts.

Ok. With the long weekend, and some extra time on my hands, I did some cleaning and rearranging of some of my crap. While I was at it, I took a quick count of what I actually have as far as reissues. Ready for this? ;D Allosaurus = 6Revell 92 - 1 07 - 2 07 White - 3 Armored = 5Revell 92 - 2 Revell-G - 1 07 - 2 Flying = 7Mono 88 - 4 Revell 92 - 1 07 - 2 Mammoth = 7Mono 79 - 1 Mono 88 - 2 07 - 4 Sailback = 5Mono 79 - 1 Mono 88 - 1 Revell-G - 1 07 - 2 Spiked = 18Mono 79 - 2 07 - 16 Trike = 8Revell-G - 2 07 - 6 Rex = 12Mono 79 - 1 Mono 88 - 2 07 - 9 So, grand total. I am sitting on 68 reissues at the moment. I need to find more storage space. I just got done reorganizing and double checking my inventory. I could update all the numbers, but for now I will just say I am now sitting on 83 reissues. Here is what my extras look like To give you an idea of the size of that pile. The boxes on the bottom each contain 3 Atlantis rex kits. That isn't including a boxed Monogram rex and the 30 sealed reissues that are in totes in another room. I'll try to get a shot of that as well.

Congrats on the acquisitions! Are you planning to build them all or display the boxes anywhere? I would seem a shame that they sit in boxes or in a closet somewhere outta sight.

For now, all my sealed reissues are in totes in my bedroom. (the one room that is climate controlled so the shrink wrap shouldn't be affected by heat in the summer) Eventually I envision a full wall of shelves somewhere to showcase the original boxes, the reissues, and the full layout of the kits in raw plastic.
Don't know, if/when that will happen. But that is the goal.
The extras are for building. Most are designated for add-on heads. Even though I don't own them all yet, there is still hope that I will eventually acquire all the Alchemy conversion parts. (still need the sailback one, and most of the ceratopsian conversions) The others are either trade bait, or for multiple builds (I have several paint schemes I want to do on the sailback, etc.)

Finally got the pic of my totes posted The box between the orange and green totes holds the 07 reissues. I have yet to find a tote that holds them nearly as well as that box does. Holds all the kits + the 3 white, make-and-take allosaurus kits I have. And the boxes on the left are recent resin acquisitions. (recent being relative since the big box was WF 2014) And I need to get another tote for those Revell kits in the middle.

It was Christmas 1975 and this 9 year old opened up a massive box containing the T-Rex. I had started collecting the prehistoric scenes line in the summer, so this was my favorite gift. I owned it until about 2015 and finally sold it.

I got mine for xmas as well. I loved this model. My younger brother and I tried to charge the glow in the dark name plate and ending up melting it on a light bulb. Must have been 40 years ago. I love your site and looking at the few kits I never owned.

Thank you. Nothing like those memories from the 70's.
