Young T-Rex. Pretty spindly specimen. His feet must be glued to a stout base that comes with the kit. Third time painting. Ironically, I couldn't use Tamiya paint. It was too thick. I used Freak Flex from Badger.

Immature Duckbill. Light green/yellow/white underneath. He got a light mist coat of grayed orange to subdue the Crenshaw melon colors.

Early crocodilian. I gave him 'gator colors. Black green over off white and light green. Watered down blood red for inside the mouth. Not quite done. And the rest? All broken! Only these three survived.

I've just picked this kit up in 'Craft World'. It was £10.99. It feels like a lot of money for such a small amount of plastic, but I think in the end when its all assembled it might be good value. Its a bit like the PS Jungle swamp, lots of little dinos, but without the interesting swamp base to make it truly worthwhile.
I already own the Triceratops, T Rex and Steg from the old series. They remind me a bit of the Airfix kits but even saggier in their sculpting. I know Tamiya have new sculpts with linking diorama bases, but these aren't commonly available in the UK except for the Brach. It bugs me that we can only get the old style kits, it indicates that Tamiya don't value the UK customer. or perhaps they are trying to unload old stock or get the last few Yen out of the old style moulds.
I have a spare Steg for kit bashing in to a Kentrosaurus. I'll post it when its finished. I'm going to try to get it up on to its hind legs in to a more active feeding position and make it look a little less like two guys in a dinosaur suit!

I recently bought another of these kits--wincing at the still high price, but determined to a good job at assembling them and keeping them safe. Hypsilophodon and Oviraptor went together, but there was ample fuss in both of them getting the mold lines filed off. I was VERY careful with Archaeopteryx this time through, and though I neglected to take a photograph, it's still OK.

This is one of my favorite kits - they seem like such good diorama fodder. Very nice job.

I'm going to try to get it up on to its hind legs in to a more active feeding position and make it look a little less like two guys in a dinosaur suit! Was thinking of doing the same, but picked up the AMT version as a better fix for k/b-ing a Kentrosaurus, keeping the Tamiya Stego as-is, to add to the Tamiya diorama series. Also have the older Tamiya T-Rex...thinking of kitbashing to Tarbosaurus to add to the diorama.... Did you get my (very late) comment on the Polar Lights Triceratops? Also let me (us) know if we can help you pursue this series...seems to be a lot on e-bay here, or try www.megahobbies.com they still have ALL the kits in this series listed for sale. Not sure of their Int'l Shipping policies, but worth a try. I really like the detail in the diorama series - HUGE improvement over the (3) stand-alone kits.

Hi PB. The AMT /Airfix/Heller steg is a much better kit than either the original tamiya Steg and the Pyro lindberg version. I just like the retro feel of the Tamiya kit, I like a challenge. LOL! The AMT kit has a nice knnobbly texture which is easy to imitate when you are cutting it about and the tamiya has nice wide wrinkles. As you rightly point out the Tamiya Diorama series is a real improvement. i have the Chasmosaurus and the base elements and the moulding are nice and crisp. Tamiya have real eye for quality and their moulds are excellent. Not like the old pyro parts with mile wide gaps.
I've just read your Polar lights response. I ended up buying two PL Triceratops from the USA and shipping them over. But that was when my spare hobby cash and time wasn't taken up with 'Prehitorix'.
