Hello, I just want to throw this into the ether.
Since interest in the PS series has seemed hightened lately,,,,, might we see a rebirth of the never produced Mammoth legs and back curled trunk, from the never produced kits,, and also the box art Mammoth head with lower tusk placement???
I think that if some of these parts were available,,, it would be easier to use the Platybelodon add-on.

Mike still lists the box-art mammoth on his site. thealchemyworks.com/cart/resin-models/mammals/aurora-what-if-mammoth.htmlAs ti to the resin copies of the prototype parts, that all depends on Al. Last I knew, he is still recovering from the stork he suffered more than a year ago. He mentioned he is actually building some kits again, so that is a good sign. I haven't asked him about when things might start being produced again as I figure he will get to it when he feels well enough. I'm just happy that he is doing better.

Like you Trevor, I'm glad Al is doing well. I was lucky enough to grab another set of the legs and trunk prior to his stroke. The first set I sold a few years ago with a kit bash I did with the Mammoth in a Tar Pit. I still plan on doing a Mammoth Tar Pit base again, just not sure when?!

Exchanged more emails with Al this past week. He still isn't taking orders yet. He is casting a few things here and there, but the vertigo he still has limits how much time he can work on casting.
He says he will need to check the mold for the prototype parts and see if they are still good. After sitting for so long they may not be usable anymore. (Fingers crossed) He hopes to be back up and running in a few months. (again, fingers crossed)
