Ok, here is the story on the display that was at WF this year. The boxes and instructions are mine. Except that original rex box. The 2 rexes and that box (with a complete unbuilt kit inside) belong to Dave Hodge. He intended to display his kits this year. He has the whole series complete. But he got tied up with show related stuff and ended up only bringing the rexes. Some of the other stuff on the table, Dave aquired Saturday morning from Larry at Action Hobbies. He still had some stuff that he had gotten from Dave Cockrum. Like those huge Trex and Steg design sketches. (man it was all I could do to not drool on them while I was setting up the display) I got some good pics of them, and Dave is supposed to send me some scans when he gets some time. The display was very well recieved. I didn't stay with it all weekend, but the people Dave had there to keep people from touching stuff told me how many people stopped and made comments. Seems everyone remembers these kits. Even if they don't collect them now, they all had a story or two about kits they owned as a kid.

Well, actually Rob was hoping to have his ktis done for next year and was talking about trying to do another display. We even talked about how cool it would be iif we could get you and Parts Pit Mike to come as well.
For several years now, I have had this idea in the back of my mind of doing something like this at WF once all my kits were done. I was going to bring the whole collection down with me. Built kits, boxes, reissues, add-ons, the whole 9 yards. But I am still several years away from having my collection done.
But, until then, I am more than happy to help anyone else out who wishes to set something up and make the arrangements with WF.
BTW - have you seen that 3-view Steg artwork before? Last pic, corner of the table.

Just have to have things line up for me to do so.

So do all PS fans wear the same style of clothes? Thanks to Rick from Night Owl Productions for snapping this shot of Trevor's Daughter Britney, Trevor and me.

Hey! I have that same picture also. www.tylisaari.com/models/shows/wf2010/review.htmRick is always good about getting at least one shot of us a year. Sadly, most of my 'people' shots this year turned out too blurry to use. Still getting the hang of how this new camera behaves.

Greetings all,
Dave here; Wonderfest CEO. I have an offer to all you PS Fans that I hope will make the show. I will offer space again this year to set up a PS display at the show alomg with security to watch the tables. I may provide up to four tables of space depending on what people might want to bring for display. Perhaps with some early pre-planning by all who want to participate a pretty interesting display could result. If there are a few folks intrested I might set aside a little time to have a PS lunch for folks if there are enough interested which i would be willing to sponsor as CEO of the show. Folks could meet and share their kit interest and even swap items and information if so inclined. My time at the show is very hectic; so a pre-planned get together would allow me to schedule the time in advance to talk the PS hobby with you all. Ideas and suggestions (such as a mini contest with a prize or two or a separete buildup only table) are welcome. Let me know what you think.
