I have admired Kurts work for about a year now. I can't think of a better PS build up than the sailback in the pic. I have been trying to do a Pteranodon the same as kurts. Taking out the wing centres, opening the mouth, bending the feet and even casting a new base with an ammonite on it Its hard work and the wings keep snapping off as the section is so thin. I'm about to use Tensol on them. I'm making the tongue with Milliput. I'll post the result eventually! I might even try to cast the new open mouthed head as well so I have a spare. I am not worthy!

Steve's blue Polacanthus is a masterpiece. I'm not fond of that conversion but he makes it look like a real kit.

I am always amazed at Steve's realistic use of such vibrant colors.

His use of colors really work well with the PS theme - they go perfectly. Well done!

Thanks! I'll never be a "Kurt Christensen" but I do like the colors. I believe this is the one main reason that caught my interest in this series is the "vibrant" colors Aurora used on its kits. The other reason is the large 1/13 scale, the interlocking bases, the moveable poses, the mean/toy like appearance....Oops! I mean "reasons"! ;D

Living in a dull Northern English town in the early seventies when it seemed to rain every day and the cinema shut down and became a bingo hall, the reasons I liked PS was because they made it seem you could live in a Harryhausen movie, that there were thrills to come and somebody out there had the same thoughts as you. It certainly wasn't anyone in the UK at the time! LOL

I just want to say how impressed I am with everyone's collections, especially the awesome paintwork. I am a creative person, but I have zero ability with a paintbrush. If I tried to paint my collection, it would look like Neanderthal Man had painted it with his foot.

I grabbed everything from the FB group again at the end of the year. That way those not on FB can see them all. Also a lot easier to find them in the gallery.

Kurt is truly inspirational. Now I love the clunky action toy feel of Prehistoric Scenes and don't go in for realism much when it comes to dinosaurs. However Kurt seems to work a certain magic that brings PS kits to life, but without loosing any of their wow classic factor. This is truly an amazing sculpt and lets face it, its so re-worked that it is definitely his own. To quote Wayne's world....I am not worthy. Like the Dimetrodon he did, he just cuts a swathe through reality in to imagination. Its like the director of a Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movie directed this scene, reality and Hollywood fantasy together. I fell in love with the cro-magnon woman when I was eleven and I have to say she has never looked this good. Can't we give him an award?

To top it all off, almost everything seen on that is sourced from PS kits. The only things that aren't, are the string for the bow, and the piece of vine wrapped around the branch. Everything else is PS.
