Yeah.
When it's done, people will be able to upload stuff directly from their own hard drives.
No more having to email me the pics, and wait for me to do the work.

You're probably especially grateful for that because of all my pics/stuff?! Actually, yours aren't so bad. But like Kurt. He sends lots of really big pics. Which fill my inbox up very quickly. So it all has to be done in multiple emails, and I have to empty my inbox as soon as I get the first email. Stuff like that Also. Another cool thing, is that it will be searchable. And people will be able to leave comments and such. And maybe I can get Kurt to comment about some of the kits and how he did them. |

BTW. I have close to 250 pics uploaded to it now.

Getting there.
Up to almost 900 pictures loaded now.
Just have to do Steve's and mine. And I should be all caught up on it.
Until I start going though the forum here, and seeing what I need to move to the gallery.

Ok. I think I have all the bugs worked out now. (and I do mean bugs, turns out I found a problem with the program and the developers had to come up with some fixes. So I had to go in and edit 3 of the PHP files in order to get it to work properly) The way it works : Anyone can go to the gallery and look at pics, leave comments on the pictures, and rate the photos. No need to register for any of that. Anyone who wants to upload some photos. First, you need to register. Once registered, you will be able to upload pictures to your own personal gallery. the first thing you need to do, is to create an album to put the photos in. Click on [create / order my albums]which is located just above the dark blue bar. Then click on [New album] and type a name for the album. Click [OK}Now you can upload pictures from your computer into that album. Anyone interested, give it a whirl, and tell me what you think. Still won't be live on the website yet, as I still have to make a page explaining all this to everyone. You all are kind of my test subjects.  |

Thanks for the info. I registered a few days ago and tried to upload pics, just to see if it worked but it didn't. I'll try it again shortly.

Yeah. Actually, I stuck you in a different member group on there.
You can upload photos to any existing album as well.
That way, if you happen to take any more pix of your kits you can just put them where they go.
I plan on doing the same for anyone who has a whole lot of stuff.
Also, I noticed, you never sent me any pics of a cave.
Did you never build a cave?

No pics. I have built it but not completely. There are a few alterations I still need to do before completion. Not high on my to do list.

Hi Trevor,
I created an account for myself and was able to upload six pictures to an album I created. Can you create a main link by my name that points to my new album? Please create a gallery for "Ken Malina" that displays with all of the other member's galleries. My username on your gallery site and this board is: malinkh
The upload process worked well once I resized my original pictures to fit within the allowable size.
Thanks for all you do to maintain your PS site.

Just curious, how big were your original files?
Size limits should be 1024 KB
With a max width or height of 3000 pixels.

My original pictures were approximately 3MB each. Now they are around 60K each.
