Aurora's 1975 Doctor Jekyll undergoing cold treatment. The front half of this glow in the dark plastic head came loose with gentle prying, but the back half was cemented in place and threatened to do something bad if I tried to pry it at room temperature. I'm pretty sure this was ordinary plastic cement straight from the 70s and NOT superglue. Nonetheless, a few hours in the freezer made the cement more brittle than the plastic it was stuck to and with careful pressure, the pieces came apart.

Yeah. I think a lot depends on the glue, and how it was applied.
