"Captain Villainy" at your service. 20 years or so after acquiring this and other POTC kits, this one is ready. A few missing parts--he will never move his arm--but that all for the best. Getting the previous owner's paint job off was only the beginning. Then, after many delays and other kits, he came together and is a rare kit among more recent works--he is painted entirely with enamels. I tried to avoid black and cheated black with a lot of dark grays, blues and browns. I have said it before--MPC cannot sculpt! Captain Villainy's proportions are laughable--I guess he stands five feet tall in real life with apish arms and a huge head. I'm much more eager to put together the old Aurora Blackbeard kit.

It takes skill to make a slightly dodgy kit look good. You certainly have made this look very decent. I see what you mean about the arms but the overall view is very good and its nice to complete a set no matter how good or bad the sculpt is.
