Happy new year everybody. Its great new year for our favourite kits. Myself Artdecovampire/Bill Voyce (UK) and PS/Great/Mark Kreiss(USA) haverecently got together and have been building up a smal international company called 'Prehistorix'. I do some sculpting and retro-graphics and Mark does sculpting and the casting as the main market is the USA. Together we produce re-casts of rare and missing parts, some original accesories and soon some original kits. These products are sold through E bay and if you search for Aurora Prehistoric Scenes you should find us as Fizzytweety. Here is a list of what we currently do.
Jungle swamp recast. Allosaurus and Ankylosaurus base part recast and flickering volcano versions of each. Flikering torch, plain torch and flickering campfire for the cave and cavemen. Dimetrodon, sabre tooth misisng base halves. Deer leg for sabre tooth. A stand alone tree stand for the swamp trees. A range of four nameplate holders individually and in a set. A coelacanth base extension for the flying reptile. All of these come bagged with a nicely illustrated header card, including instructions for the flickering items. We also do a catalogue with full descriptions and illustrations of the products which I will gladly supply if you request one. Mesasage me and I'll email you a PDF.
As you may know from the thread, we are about to release 'Mesozoic Hunting Ground' which is an add on or indeed substitute for the Allosaurus base. The base includes a dead dino (hypsilophodon) with a removeable leg for the allosaurus mouth to justify the drool, a lizard and a tree. I'll e mail the asembly sheet to anyone who is interested in one so message me above. This will be boxed with a full colour graphic, instructions and catalogue. A real collectors item. We have plenty in the pipeline, some nearing completion. This includes a Bryonyx which attaches to the sailback base, a new animal victim for the tar pit and a crossover with Dr Deadly which has to remain under wraps for now (Yes you read it here a Dr D/ PS crossover!. So we are making a real effort and its a labour of love. We felt it was important for anyone who is interested to know what we are up to. Because we both do lots of other things it will be a slow process in terms of releases but it will happen and theres lots already available.
We are even going to do some accessories for the Pyro Lindberg classics so dust off your old kits and get your retro thing going. Imagine a modern reworking of the old World of kits! A nice little Aurora style base for your Pyro Lindberg Ankylosaurus is already available.

This is the back of the box. It has a little narrative like the aurora boxes with other info too. I wanted the packaging to look retro, but fit in with the graphics used with Prehistorix bag tops and catalogue. There'll be a double sided, A3, folded instruction sheet inside as well as a deluxe version of the Prehistorix catalogue.

Hi Gareth, I contacted Chinxy on your behalf. See your 'Contacting chinxy thread'. Chinxy does a great Allosaurus base and the cool thing is that its in one piece.
Mark and I certainly won't dissapoint you. Our next big release is a Baryonyx with a two piece base which extends the Sailback base. It will have a baryonyx rising from the water, bases with a large rock and plants, a very large fish for Bary's dinner and a good handful of exotic flora around the edge. If people don't want to include it it will look just as good stand alone. The sculpt is nearly finished and I will post pictures soon. If you send me your e mail address via the message system on here I will send you the brand new catalogue which has been updated with the Mesozoic hunting ground details and the new made under liscense le............ Well sorry to tease but send for the catalogue you won't regret it.

The original sculpts for the Mesozoic Hunting Ground have reached Mark. Some of the parts are a little worse for wear due to the long journey. Nothing that a little glue wont cure according to Mark. he is startingto make the moulds early next week Some ofthe smaller parts may not survive the moulding process so we will ony be able to pull one set of moulds. Once these are gone the kit will be discontinued. We are hoping to get around 20 full kits from these.Mark and I have one each reserved (What did you think we were going to dod with the first two?). That leaves a small ammount for sale. We will post pics here as soon as we can of the 100% finished item and we will sell them through e bay. Contact Mark if you are in the USA he will set one aside for you.

FWIW - a lot of producers will often keep a master casting for creating new molds. This is one of the first few castings, before the mold starts to wear out. (sometimes it takes a few castings to 'work' the molds properly to get a flawless example). That way they have a way to make new molds if the kit turns out to be very popular. Because as you mentioned, on occasion smaller more fragile pieces of sculpt might not survive the original molding.

I have ordered and received a little of what they currently offer and I am quick pleased with everything they have done! Good craftsmanship, fair prices and fast delivery!!! With Alchemy getting out of the series, it's fabulous to have these rising stars carry the torch (which I still need to get, soon...har, har). Thank you gentlemen for extending the fun! Also have in my stock (2) of the Pyro bases - I think they can easily be added to the PS real estate, but I am always ready to help someone's Pyro collection, if the molds wear out before you get yours, since the Pyro series is not one I am, or will be, working on (the Tamiya, Pegasus and PS have me too busy already, not to mention my Sci-Fi collections...).
Also love the catalog you included in my last order - also very nice work!
Please ALWAYS add me to your "reserved" list when you release a kit. Hopefully Mike (Alchemy) and Steve (Primeval/ Arora) will tell you I'm a dependable customer, and Mark has been happy with my repeat business, so far......

Nany thanks Tay, fwiw, its worth a lot! Its one of those things thats so obvious I totally overlooked it. Usually I cast stuff and throw the worn out moulds away. From now on, both mark and I will keep masters of our stuff to maintain detail on future casts.
hi PB We hope to maintain a supply of all our regular stock. Mark deals with parts by storing the moulds and casting to order. This way we only have to buyt small qunatities of resin and don't store stuff. I shall message you if anything new comes out. Keep watching my pinterest account for ads as well as new products. The link is on the catalogue thread. There is a teaser for a new swamp kit. Its sculpted and awaits funds to mould it.
