Thanks for the Comps! It's funny you say that about "haunches trailing off to the tail". I pulled out a body top half of the Ankylosaurus and saw the tail, I didn't use either, and thought; I wonder if I should convert the Anklylo's tail onto the Styrac's tail?! After a few moments of tossing that around, I came to the conclusion it would be too much work so I'll go a different route instead, while still keeping the spikes/scutes on the tail as a future possibility. Currently I'm wrestling with putting some spikes either along the side/back between the front and back legs and/or putting some down the middle of the back, slightly angled.

Man. That looks great! Seriously. That does look like it was molded like that.

Thanks Scott and Trevor! I put up a few more pics. I'm stuck now as to what to do next to the body. in the pics you'll see some different options I'm toying with. It basically comes down to spikes (Back, Sides, or both?!) or no spikes. (My eldest son had his wisdom teeth removed Tuesday so he helped me set these up for pics.)

Cracking job Steve! I agree with Bill, it looks just like a bought one. I think the rows of spikes might be a bit of an overkill. Maybe two rows of gnarly scutes like the Allo' only bigger and in line with the top horns? I'll definitely get the three tails and any legs you decide to make if you can ship to Australia.

Thanks Fud! If all works out, Australia could be on the shipping route. Let's see how the tails work out first.

Been working on another kit bash ceratops while I was finishing up the Diabloceratops. There is a few pics of the Einiosaurus. I have a few more pics to download of updates of the Einio.

Looks like another great bash mate. Thanks for taking the time to post all the WIP shots, it's a big help for a newb like myself. Good colour scheme on the diablo, most definitely devilish. I'm sure the tails will turn out great and I hope Australia is on the mailing list, not that you'll be flooded with orders from down under, I seem to be the only Aussie PS fan around!

Hey Fud,
Andymoscarts is the only other regular PS fan I know in the UK. Think of yourself as endangered, not extinct. We can be the PS Commonwealth branch!

There used to be more European enthusiasts, but they have either withdrawn from the hobby, or fans across the pond are congregating somewhere else to discuss the line.

Just went online last night and looked for random info on ceratopsians and found a slew of new ones they've found. I'm gonna need several cases of the new Revell releases to kit bash them all!!! HOLY COW!!! I also found out that the Diabloceratops was discovered right here in my own backyard in Utah! Only 2 skulls have been discovered so far. Awesome!

The one from CANADA? Yeah I did! I think it said like 15 horns. A record breaker for the most horns.

Sorry mate, I managed to miss this one. Sounds good to me, we'd be the world's smallest modelling club! I'm also drooling over all the new horned beasties. They seem to be getting crazier each time, like evolution was trying to see how many horns it could stick on a dino before it fell over....

Just added a poll to this thread too. We are thinking of kitting this replacement head and its corresponding nameplate. Any takers? Please vote. Only 2 choices.

Yes I'd buy this kit. Would it just be the head or full kit?
