Can't believe there haven't been any posts about these bases. Or did I miss the thread?I have two so far. These bases are incredible. I have received only two so far: the Cave Fire Pit and the Edaphosaurus base. The casting is awesome. The sculpting is true to the Aurora artists' look. Pay the site a visit. I made another order for four other kits. Friday I'll get more. Sorry for not posting pics of the ones I have, but I'm not computer savvy. jurassicarts.com/I hope that paste worked. You'll love these!!

I'm surprised too!? It has been mentioned here and there but no thread dedicated to Scott's stuff. His stuff is cool. Glad to hear somebody's got some off his offerings. I have his website bookmarked now. Hoping to acquire some of his items someday soon.

Same here. I haven't gotten any yet, but I plan too.
I know his stuff has been mentioned, and I added a link for it in the links thread. Surprised Scott hasn't popped in to make a thread himself.

I put a link on the Prehistorix Website for Jurassic Arts the day it went up. I assumed everyone new about it. He's just updated it with a whole range of swamp extensions and a bison base. He's got a link to Prehsitorix on his site and Mark Kreiss is in touch with him. We are trying to look at kit positioning so there's no 'bone wars' in the future. Scott is also on pinterest with a page devoted to jurrasic arts. Hes clearly not a shameless self-promoter like my good self! LOL! Sadly I don't think he ships to the UK which is a shame. If you use the prehistorix site go to prehistorix.wix.com/prehistorixThen to Links. You'll find him there. His Koolasuchus and the swamp extension which surrounds the original is a great idea. One of his base fits the rock for the leaping tiger we do. The rock fits over a detailed section of the base to extend the tarpit section. It works with or without the tiger.

I put in an order for four more bases. Can't wait 'till they arrive.
I too am worried about the kit positioning war. I've been worried about the issue of add on kits that vie for the same realestate. I figure I'll have to just get the dremel out one day and subtract from some bases and get the sculpty to add to others.

There are a few bases I don't see listed on there that are on the map like the flood plains. Then, there are some base for sale that aren't on the map. Scott, any info? I like how Scott tries to incorporates all the add-ons and originals into the scene. It's almost virtually impossible to get every single one but he tries. Great job Scott!

Currently Prehistorix and Jurassic Arts are contributing to the layout with brand-new products. Prehistorix make every effort to avoid spots taken by other add-ons past and present, though there may be times when they do get in the way of other none-original kits. However the following points may be of help. Our kits will never get in the way of the original line up. Our 'original' kits fit on the original layout without you having to purchase all of them.Add-ons often become unavailable when they go out of production leaving recent collectors with a gap so its important to re-fill these 'gaps' with alternatives.
Why stop at one layout? Why not start a secnod one to acoomodate your add-on goodies. Rotate your add-ons to give your scene a regular new-look.
You'll be pleased to know Mark is in contact with Jurassic Arts and we are aiming to avoid getting in the way of their current products. We are generally building out from the Dimetrodon base in the future away from the originals and other peoples add ons. You may not like certain add-ons so you'll need a kit to replace its position. Its important that garage kit producers keep on producing regardless.. I wouldn't want somebody not to release a kit just becaus it got in the way of one from Prhistorix. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Bigger choice for the collector. Plus being in the UK like myself you have limited access to add ons so I myself have plenty of space left to fill.
Live long and prosper Prehistorix, Jurassic Arts and Aroara etc etc

That's my philosophy. More than one layout. As it stands now, trying to put everything into one layout would be massive. And a bit crowded. There is also no reason people can't create nice little vignettes. Combine 2 or 3 kits into a cool/interesting scene.

I posted last year my plan to split the animals up. The fur bearing animals: Mammoth, Cave and humans (the chicks are a bit hairy), Cave Bear, Tar Pit, and Sabre Tooth Cat on one layout. (any "like" add-on kits like the Bison would be included) The Jungle Swamp would have the Swamp (duh), the Sailback, Iquanodon, Bronto in water, larger Sauropod Casmosaurus, etc.. Then the Horned animals,,,, with the Stego, Parasaur, Allosaurus, Anky, then also the Raptor, Proto, Plateo (this one may go with the Swamp layout). Then the aqua beasts,,, Elasmo, Krono, and soon to be released Ichy.
Anyway, you get the idea of how I'd group them. The layout all together would be far too expansive. Like a huge model railroad plan.
I am moving soon. The house we are looking at is one thousand square feet larger than the one we are in. So there is the possibility I will have the room for one huge Prehistoric Land.

Also wanted to add,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I just received my four bases.
WOW.
I have the Jurassic Swamp Add On, Carboniferous Forest (awesome foilage), Paleo-Bison Tatpit extension, and the cretaceos swamp add-on.
They are brilliant. The sculpting is Aurora precise!!!
The kits included a new map layout which has some bases that are not on the website yet.
I can't wait to see what Scott has in store for us.

I actually have several of the bases that are not on the site Jurassic Arts site cast and ready to go. A few others need some TLC and remolding/recasting. Bu the response to the Carboniferous Forest and expanded Jungle Swamps was amazing and took me more time to prep and pack than I thought t would. Within the next week or two I will be posting a few more bases and prepping to make a new beastie over the summer. One other thing I need to get to is painting some kits. I have about 15-20 unpainted kits from Steve, Mike, Mark and myself that I'm dying to get to.

I'm excited to see what you do with all the kits, Scott! You've done a marvelous job on the castings and paints. Hoping I can reciprocate and purchase some of your offerings soon.

Also summer is almost over time to let the "new beastie" out of the bag!!

It's too easy to get antsy waiting for releases. I forget Scott you're a person with a life other than just satisfying my wants. You do an amazing job. If all your work has the same level of quality, the wait is well worth it. I also want to see your kit builds. I am curious if you have other sculpts you've never shown before, because they were never meant for casting, just personal projects you toyed with??? Like an artist who only shows several paintings, while his attic has rows of work sitting in the dark.

Just ordered the carboniferous forest. Can't wait to get it. I didn't see the new flood plain base with the baby brontotherium on Pinterest. Is that the new beastie? Can you put it on your Etsy store? Another one I'll be ordering and another week on the couch when the wife finds out!!
