Finally finished my first dino! Chose the raptor to get some practice before I start on the PS models. The base and plants etc are sculpey, the tree is resin with sculpey leaves. The spiky plant under the tree is plastic aquarium plants painted and stacked on top of each other with a sculpey bit on top. I used artists acrylics for everything and Garage Kits US transparent paints on the raptor. Hope you like it and hope this works, I've never posted a pic before. i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo207/Gareth_Maxwell/Raptor/IMG_0082_zps8l6egpqm.jpgCouldn't get the pic to work, I'm an idiot with tech so I hope the link works.

A top notch piece of work. Diorama is excellent. Where is the tree from?

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. It was the cheapest kit I could find and was supposed to be a quick OOB build to get my eye back in before I started on the PS models. Bill, the tree is my own sculpt based on the Hemp tree in the Tamiya Triceratops dio. I've got to give a big thank you to your partner in crime, Mark, for his on-going sculpting, moulding and casting tips(not to mention the occasional kick up the bum to get it finished). It's impossible not to be inspired and push yourself after seeing what everyone's doing here and in the gallery and it's made modelling fun again

Thanks Desslock, sorry for the late reply. Still haven't taken the better pics yet, I made some changes to the base and I'm waiting for good weather to take more pics. Cheers, Gareth.
