Mike posted this over at the Clubhouse "I WILL BE RETIRING SEPT 2016. anything on the site the www.thealchemyworks.com20% off until offer canceled. Mike Evans" So, if there are any add-ons that are still in production that you want to get, don't wait too long.

Sad news! I wish I was online many years ago when Mike was in his hay day at Lunar models. his contributions will be missed. Wish him the best!

His presence is really going to be missed in the hobby. Not only with his own product, but he molds and casts for a lot of other companies as well.

You would have to contact Alchemy to find out.

Sad days indeed.
We had our heyday to say the least with that tremendous release of "What-if" kits we saw. I was ecstatic with the various kits produced. Sadly, I missed one kit I wanted sooooooooooo badly: the outstretched neck Bronto kit. There were just a couple kits I passed on. I'm forcing myself not to regret those.
I can't wait to start my layout.
I hope the Ichthy and Neanderthal Woman are still in the works somehow...........
Still this is very sad news, but I will focus on the positive aspect: I have so many beautiful add-on kits, that I will be occupied with my Prehistoric Scenes 'scene' for a long time!!!!
We so still have JurassicArts supplying so great bases too!!
Cheers to all who share my love of these kits, Jim

Don't forget Prehistorix kits too. That Baryonyx should be coming sometime early 2016 I would think.

Thanks Tay! Prehistorix will be releasing new kits in the new year. Its a shame we are losing Alchemy. They have been an inspiration to garage kit collectors and manufacturers. It was seeing their what if and replacement heads that got me back in to PS after along time out of it.
Prehistorix have tried to do what alchemy did and keep a full catalogue of nearly everything we have done still available (We have 30 + products available). Mark and I are determined to provide as much customer service and choice as we can and be as consistent as possible. The new kits will be a Baryonyx in early 2016, then a Pteranodon Hatchery which incorporates the original base and a set of new nameplate holders. We are also going to re-new some of the moulds such as the leaping tiger, baby mammoth etc. The Baryonyx and nameplate holders are to be shipped to headquarters after the Christmas post dies down. The Boneyard- hell creek should be on the site in completed form soon as Mark has cast and shipped out the pre-orders. So if you are one of those waiting its on its way.
long live Alchemy!

Mike posted this at the Clubhouse yesterday "Alchemy Works kits will still be available. I have decided to send my proprietary stuff that are good sellers to Randy Guthrie and Todd Powell. These guys are very dependable and high quality artists. Not everything will still be available so check the website."
Also, some of the kits have changed hands. Prehistorix now produces the Plateosaurus And Jurassic Arts will be producing the Wooly Rhino and Glyptodon.

That's so sad that he is done. I wonder how he got a hold of Randy? I've tried to get a hold of him for a long time with no response. He has all my sculpts, castings and molds (if they still exist and are intact.) I don't see where they have the molds for sale?

I think Mike plans to remain a part of our community, but more as a collector and perhaps builder. He's buying all kinds of kits.

I always ignore that seller. His prices are always crazy. Most of those Godzilla kits he has listed can be had for 1/4 of that price at Wonderfest. And look at his insane prices on the PS kits.
