95% original plastic--5% metal wire for pinning. My attempts to rebuild this classic kit meant a lot of reattachments and reinforcements with small gauge wire. I have the entire kit (sans the toylike rubber band gizmo and trigger) built-up and base-coated with very dark gray. I will try to upload images as it gets its paint job.

I have the series and am scared witless to start them. I need to hone my painting skills first. I am a lurker. I procrastinate my builds, watching, always watching other builders projects scrutinizing their paint jobs, saving pics hoarding ideas on how I want my kits to look. Imitation is the highest form of flattery: or imitation screams "lack of imagination and talent".
I really love some of the painting done on this site. I like Tay's latest Anky kit pics for instance.
I'm still unpacking and haven't a work area to start building. I can't wait to see your build.

I like these creepy old kits. I only ever saw them in ads in the back of monster magazines. I always wondered how the working parts managed to work. The photograph is really atmospheric. I imagine even years ago plenty of kids snapped those spindly parts just getting them off the sprue.
