LMAO! That's a good one! I would like to see the final displays of all that you have mentioned (minus the ones not made....yet!) Start a thread and then post pics as you get it created. Technically it's not "lost"...I sold it.

and as a new model,,i like to see a whooly rino in PS style, also around all these, Don't know if you saw it, but there is already a rhino, that Alchemy made. www.tylisaari.com/prehistoricscenes/kits/addons/rhino.htmlJust like the PS kit, as the sculptor used mine to work off of to make this one. Really need to get off my butt and do the OOB review for this kit.

I figure it's time to show some pics of the Dire Wolf progress. Here is the base. It will fit next to the Cave Bear and I think Jeff Brown has made the transition wonderfully. It has 2 mini tar pools, a wolf skull, rocks, grass and a broken twig. (Oh and some human and dog foot prints!) We will eventually fill up that "empty space" in front of the Cave. Stay tuned for what's coming up next!!!

Well, here's the next pic of it almost completely done. Just has to do some "face" work. Got the Nameplate ordered for it too. As soon as I get this "puppy", I'll whip up some retro instruction sheets. We also have planned, a second set of legs, a tail and head.

hi guys, for those that don't work with resin much. resin has to be painted so keeping the casting white or off white(off white is less expensive) would make it easier to paint. if you don't cover the resin ultaviolet light will degrade it turning it yellow over time and actually turn the surface to powder, not sure how long that takes or how much light it takes. I made molds and castings of the "pirates of the carabien" models in the 90's. I painted up the entire series but did miss a few spots. those spots are now almost brown and I've been careful not to expose them to light over the years, in fact they've been boxed up most of that time and still turned yellow/brown. I assume they would be just about ruined by now if I had left them out in the light. I used expensive resin at the time so it's not the quality of the resin that did it either. just FYI

the white or off white resin doesn't seem to have that needed punch to give it that Aurora retro feel. Adding color to the resin doesn't change the final cost, but yes, it does need to be painted 'cause the color will fade eventually.

The WOLF is now in transit! Heading to the casters. Hoping soon to have them in hand. Thanks Jeff (Brown). And Thanks to Jeff (JB) Weeks for doing the retro instruction sheet art to go with the kit.
