It arrived! It was like Christmas 1973! All of it superb plus a bonus. As well as a complete silver triceratops and its base with rock and plant etc, there was also a spiked dinosaur head as shown but also its front legs. A spare silver Tike body, tail and back legs and the two base parts? Its like he put the other trike head on the Spike body and used it elsewhere leaving a mish-mash of original parts as a bonus for me. Christmas plus. I'm not complaining. It was wonderful. I felt nine again.

Yeah, a good chunk went there for me too.
As well as another big package from Prehistorix.
I've been watching ebay, just in case anything super cool shows up, but other than a few odd pics here and there to fill out some of the pages (eventually) I haven't seen anything.
I really want to get the rest of this new wave of reissues, but haven't even managed that.

Well, I probably shouldn't have bought it, but I couldn't pass it up. www.ebay.com/itm/272089168481A 72 Cromagnon Woman European kit. Open, but the box is really nice, and the parts are still on the sprues! I've been watching it. Hoping some of my auctions sell so I could afford to buy it. Was gonna set me back about $110 with shipping and conversion fees. Then the seller discounted it! I figured I'd better jump on the lower price before someone else did. So, $82 later and it should be on it's way to me soon. First one I've seen, so I couldn't let it get away. (it's expensive trying to get all the international versions) |

Man, I hate being so broke.  I should be ecstatic right now, but instead I am stressed about shifting money around to make this deal happen. But, on the bright side at least I had enough to make it happen. Anyway, enough preamble. That auction I just posted. The seller messaged me to offer another kit. Supposed to be a sealed Neanderthal Man! And, it's cheaper! This one only set me back $61 USD. So, between the two, it's really quite the deal. Two European kits with nice boxes shipped for less than $150.00 Sweet deal actually, if I wasn't using bill-money to pay for it  It will be ok though. I've 10 days to get money back into the accounts to cover automated bill-paying. (I say supposed to be, because there is a bit of a language barrier going on between us. I think that is what he is telling me. And I think it will be another 1972 kit. But I am not positive. And I have seen no pics. But we have already exchanged like 4 messages and I don't want to jinx the deal. So I am going on faith that he is honest and that I have understood him well enough) |

Well, it turned out to be a sealed 1971 Neanderthal Man.
Not the greatest shape though. Side seam has started to separate, so someone taped it.
European kits weren't shrink wrapped, so I went ahead and opened it. The tape was about ready to lift off anyway.
So, now I have a replacement instruction sheet, as the one I already had was stained.
I'm happy.
Now I am only missing one of the small 1971 boxes (European tiger)
Should have some pics up on Thursday.

I just picked up an original and complete Gigantic Frankenstein with box top and instructions. It's at the post office ready for pick up. The Monarch Drac/Jekyll/Hyde was a nice recent addition as well. I'm already thinking ahead to the new Dencomm (MS Dungeon and Animal Pit) and Moebius (Fly) releases, as well as some Prehistorix add-ons. Really gotta stick with the budget, as I am getting married in June.
